Justice Minister Suzanne Anton says the B-C government is offering financial aid to residents of Cache Creek hit hard by weekend flooding. More than 26 millimetres of rain fell the Interior town on Saturday flooding homes and streets with mud and water and shutting down two highways. Anton says the province is offering disaster financial assistance and Premier Christy Clark will visit the community on Tuesday. (The government will pay 80 per cent of damages exceeding 1-thousand dollars to a maximum 300-thousand dollars to accepted claimants.)
