The mayor of Cache Creek, B-C, says there is still a lot of cleanup work left to do in the small Interior town hit by a weekend storm. Saturday's storm dropped 26 millimetres of rain in less than an hour, and the deluge sent water flowing down the streets like rivers, sweeping away yards and swamping homes and businesses. Mayor John Ranta says excavators, dump trucks and local residents were hard at work the same day as Premier Christy Clark's visit. (Ranta says 23 homes remain under an evacuation order and about 40 others remain under evacuation alert.)
