An Alberta judge has ruled there is enough evidence for Douglas Garland to go on trial for killing a Calgary couple and their five-year-old grandson last year. Douglas Garland was arrested last year following the disappearance of Alvin and Kathy Liknes (LIK'-ness) and five-year-old Nathan O'Brien. Garland is now facing three charges of first-degree murder. Alvin's niece, Barb Beaudry, says she's relieved. (A trial date for Garland will be set July 31st. It could be another year to 18 months before the case goes to trial.)
