Canada's western premiers held their annual meeting by teleconference today. It was hosted by Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall who says, was done by teleconference. The western leaders discussed the importance of economic diversification after a sharp drop in important of economic diversification has been highlighted by low oil prices. B-C Premier Christy Clark says the west has learned the lessons of fluctuating commodity prices in the past. (Alberta Premier Rachel Notley was unable to take part in the call because of the length of today's swearing in ceremony for MLAs.)
