A family friend says a Winnipeg girl who underwent liver transplant surgery in Toronto is recovering in hospital. Eleven-year-old Allexis Siebrecht was born with a rare liver disease, and her family had issued a public plea for a donor. Tina Lussier says yesterday's surgery went well. (The disease Allexis has impedes bile transport from the liver to the small intestine.)
