Former Quebec premier Jacques Parizeau, who died Monday night at the age of 84, will have a state funeral. Liberal Premier Philippe Couillard says the details will be announced later but he indicated Parizeau left behind very detailed instructions for his last rites. Parti Quebecois leader Pierre Karl Peladeau, who consulted Parizeau about his own decision to enter politics, says the former premier was passionate about independence. (Premier Couillard also says that the province will be renaming the Montreal headquarters of Quebec's pension fund manager -- the Caisse de depot -- after Parizeau.)
