The report on the residential school system says Canada clearly participated in a period of cultural genocide. The Truth and Reconciliation Commission's report makes 94 recommendations. Commission chairman Justice Murray Sinclair says the residential school experience is clearly one of the darkest most troubling chapters in our collective history. Aboriginal Affairs Minister Bernard Valcourt says the burden of the residential school system has been on the survivors for too long. (Justice Sinclair says he is scheduled to sit down with Prime Minister Harper later today.)
