The government is saying little in the wake of the latest revelations in the Senate expense scandal. In the House of Commons today, Conservative parliamentary secretary Paul Callandra sidestepped Opposition questions over whether Prime Minister Stephen Harper knew the Senate speaker that he recently appointed was implicated in an audit that's about to be tabled in the upper chamber. (Multiple sources say that, among nine senator files being sent to the RCMP, are two sitting and seven retired Senators. The details behind the expense claims have yet to be made public.)
