After reviewing more than 80-thousand transactions worth about 180 million dollars, a report by Auditor General Michael Ferguson to be released Tuesday identifies nearly 977-thousand dollars in questionable spending among 30 current and retired senators. Conservative cabinet minister Pierre Poilievre says anyone found to be misspending tax dollars should pay the money back, or face the law. (The federal Opposition says the reported 21-million dollars spent by auditors to uncover less than one-million dollars in questionable Senate expense claims is well worth the money for taxpayers.)
