Edmonton police Chief Rod Knecht (kuh-NEHKT') says officers are doing what they can to comfort the family of Constable Daniel Woodall, who was fatally shot last night. He says he spoke with Woodall's wife, Claire, this morning. Knecht says she was going to break the news to the two young boys. (Knecht identified the suspect as Norman Walter Raddatz, who was 42. Raddatz had been the focus of a lengthy hate crimes investigation.)
