Preview Clip

A quiet neighbourhood in west Edmonton was rocked by gunfire last night that killed one police officer and wounded another. Constable Daniel Woodall was killed and Sergeant Jason Harley was struck in the lower back while they were executing an arrest warrant at a home. Police Chief Rod Knecht (kuh-NEKT') says tremendous firepower was directed at the officers. (Knecht says police were investigating a case involving bullying and hate dating back to last year. The home caught fire shortly after the shooting and the body of a man was later found in the ashes.)
