Auditor general Michael Ferguson has called Canada's Senate to account, including independent oversight of expenses. He's told a news conference he found 30 cases in which senators filed questionable expense claims. But out of those 30, there were some cases that need further scrutiny by law enforcement. (Ferguson says senators often did not prioritize consideration of the cost to taxpayers in making expense claims.)
