Manitoba has introduced a law to crack down on those who distribute intimate photos without consent. The law will allow people to sue for damages and boosts funding for the Canadian Centre for Child Protection to help support victims. Centre director Lianna McDonald says the legislation will empower those who want to pursue the matter through a lawsuit while sending an important message to others. (McDonald says the bill will also help the centre's tip line support victims who don't want to go to police to regain control of their image.)
