The flag-draped coffin of a slain Edmonton police officer has been carried into his funeral on the shoulders of six solemn pallbearers. The service for Const. Daniel Woodall began with the snap of snare drums marking step for a colour guard from the Edmonton police force. Edmonton police chaplain Lawrence Peck addressed the crowd. (The police officer's widow, Claire, and their two children, aged four and six, were accompanied into the service by family and friends.)
