Edmonton's police chief says an officer killed in the line of duty was a shining example to his peers and his community. Rod Knecht (KUH-neckt) told mourners at the funeral of Constable Daniel Woodall that he was an honest man who only ever wanted to be a police officer. (Woodall came to Canada from Manchester, England in 2007. The 35-year-old father of two was shot on June 8th when he tried to serve an arrest warrant to a man suspected of the anti-Semitic bullying of an Edmonton family.)
