The future of a proposed year-round ski resort in southeast B-C has been thrown into uncertainty now that developers must get a new environmental assessment certificate. The province issued a certificate for the Jumbo Glacier Resort in 2004, and extended it in 2009 before it expired last October. Environment Minister Mary Polak says Glacier Resorts hasn't substantially started on the project and now needs to apply for a new certificate. (Glacier Resorts has been trying to build the resort since 1991.)
