Vancouver has taken on the duty of regulating the medical marijuana industry in the city. New rules were approved today that include a 30-thousand dollar licensing fee. Mayor Gregor Robertson says they had no choice but to step in because the federal government failed to act on regulating medical marijuana appropriately. (Federal Health Minister Rona Ambrose says she's disappointed with the decision saying that marijuana is neither an approved drug nor a medicine.)
