A Mountie who pulled over a speeding car in southern Alberta says he was surprised when a hand popped out of a wriggling box in the back seat. Sergeant Darrin Turnbull says he discovered a young boy playing inside the cardboard box. The driver told him the preschooler had refused to ride in a proper car seat. Turnbull says he understands that children often fight getting in their car seats. (Turnbull says the adult, who should have been in charge, ended up with a 167-dollar speeding ticket and must also appear in court on a charge of failing to properly secure a child in a motor vehicle.)
