Pressure is growing on the federal government to help fund construction of a road for a reserve under one of Canada's longest boil-water advisories. Manitoba, Ontario and Winnipeg have written letters urging the federal government to help fund construction of a road for Shoal Lake 40 First Nation. Chief Erwin Redsky says his people will not support the proposed twinning of the nearby Trans-Canada Highway as long as his community remains isolated. (A spokesperson for Valcourt refused to answer questions about funding construction of a road.)
