The leader of the campaign against a new tax to fund a major transportation upgrade in the Vancouver region says he's confident of victory. Jordan Bateman with the Canadian Taxpayers Federation has been the main voice denouncing the plan while mayors spent millions campaigning for the tax. Bateman wouldn't predict the results but reflected his campaign unfolded almost flawlessly. (Bateman insists many transportation projects will proceed, but perhaps slowly and with money found through efficiencies and political promises ahead of the federal election.)
