Alberta's minimum wage is getting a major boost on October 1st. Jobs Minister Lori Sigurdson says the current rate of 10 dollars and 20 cents an hour will rise by a full dollar at that time. She says it's time to correct a longstanding imbalance. (Sigurdson says the government will continue to boost the minimum wage until it reaches 15 dollars an hour by 2018.)
