A six-month mission that sent Canadian Armed Forces medical personnel to West Africa to help with the Ebola crisis is over. lieutColonel Colleen Forestier (FORE'-est-YAY') says the 79 military doctors, nurses, medics and support staff who took part in "Operation Sirona" gained valuable experience. (Forestier is the task force commander for Operation Sirona. Canadian military medical personnel helped the British military run an Ebola treatment unit at Kerry Town, Sierra Leone that was set up to treat health-care workers who became infected with Ebola.)
