Alberta Environment Minister Shannon Phillips says the government agreed with the auditor general's concerns that oilsands companies save enough money to ensure their gigantic mines are cleaned up at the end of their life. Phillips says the government accepts Merwan Saher's (SAW'-her) recommendations in his report released today. (Phillips agrees the program needs a review, and says it will be conducted with the energy industry's current low-price environment in mind.)
