Federal Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau has appealed to First Nations voters to help him to become prime minister in the upcoming fall election. Trudeau told the annual meeting of the Assembly of First Nations in Montreal that a Liberal government would revise parts of Bill C-51 that could leave aboriginal protesters vulnerable to arrest if they are deemed a terrorist threat.
