The representative for Prince George-Mackenzie in the B-C legislature will lead the review into B-C's wildfire fine structure. Forests Minister Steve Thomson says about a third of the wildfires that have been recorded in B-C since April 1st were human caused. Legislative member Mike Morris says he was asked by Thomson to review the fine structure for human-caused fires and he already has a few ideas. (A campfire ban remains in effect around B-C, except for Haida Gwaii and the fog zone, a narrow strip along the west coast of Vancouver Island.)
