Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall says he is growing concerned that Canada's oil and gas industry is increasingly being viewed as a liability by the rest of the country. Wall says he will be raising that concern at a meeting of premiers in Newfoundland tomorrow. He says he categorically disagrees with any suggestion that Ontario or Quebec could hold up the Energy East pipeline because they don't like climate change policies in Saskatchewan and Alberta. (Wall's comments come after a meeting between Alberta Premier Rachel Notley and her Quebec counterpart Philippe Couillard. Notley emerged from that meeting saying she is hopeful Quebec will get behind the Energy East oil pipeline, provided her province does its part to fight climate change and protect the environment.)
