B-C's children and youth representative Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond says she has no confidence in the government's ability to investigate itself. The Children's Ministry has announced it will review a case where a father molested his toddler in foster care despite a court order banning unsupervised visits. But Turpel-Lafond says the review is not enough. (Turpel-Lafond says she wants to participate in the review or see an independent third party brought in to conduct it.)
