The marathon race toward federal election day October 19th is expected to get underway this weekend. And the parties are revving up their campaigns. Green Party spokesman Julian Morelli says an early election call won't matter to much for his party's strategy, because the Greens have been campaigning for some time. (The prime minister is widely expected to visit the governor general on Sunday to ask that Parliament be dissolved, and then attend a rally with Conservative supporters later in the day in Montreal to officially begin a gruelling 11-week campaign.)
