The Crown says a lengthy delay in starting a trial for the man charged with killing a five-year-old boy and his grandparents last year will be difficult on their families. Douglas Garland was arrested last year following the disappearance of Alvin and Kathy Liknes (LIHK'-ness) and five-year-old Nathan O'Brien. A trial date of January 16th, 2017 was set this morning. Crown prosecutor Shane Parker realizes it will be hard on the family. (Parker says some of the family members are also witnesses so have been sheltered from a lot of detail in the case.)
