Green party Leader Elizabeth May wants to improve the quality of the conversation at tonight's leaders debate. She will join Conservative Leader Stephen Harper, NDP Leader Tom Mulcair and Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau at a two-hour debate tonight organized by Maclean's magazine. May says Harper needs to answer for his economic record because indicators show the Canadian economy contracted in the first quarter of 2015. (May says she was the only leader in the 2008 debate who was prepared to say Canada was going into a recession. She says the federal government needs to ensure there's productive activity in economic sectors that benefit from a low Canadian dollar.)
