An official with the Alberta Federation of Agriculture says there will be a lot of belt tightening by producers this year as a result of the drought. Keith Degenhardt says grain farmers are going to lose between 30 and 50 per cent of their income and it's even worse for livestock producers. (Degenhardt says he would like to see the Alberta government come up with some help for livestock producers so they can afford to feed their animals. The agriculture minister says it's too soon to commit to that kind of help.)
