NDP Leader Tom Mulcair's book launch was briefly interrupted today by protesters pressing him for a position on the Energy East pipeline. Mulcair read passages from his autobiography, "Strength of Conviction," and was thanking various staff when a couple of people stood up and unfurled banners. The small group was quickly escorted out the room by Mulcair's security detail. (Mulcair responded by saying of course he would reject the pipeline if it's incompatible with national action on climate change.)
