Federal Liberal leader Justin Trudeau is promising to spend hundreds of millions of dollars more each year on aboriginal education. He told supporters in Saskatoon that a Liberal government would add an extra 515-million dollars a year in funding for First Nations grade-school education because the futures of First Nations children are the future of Canada. He says under the Conservatives there has been no nation-to-nation dialogue and no regard for First Nations control of First Nations education. (Today's announcement was the first big-ticket campaign promise for the Liberals.)
