Almost three-thousand temporary jobs will be created in New Brunswick this fall as the result of a large maintece and upgrade project at the Irving Oil refinery in Saint John. The company has announced the 200-million dollar project, called Operation Falcon, will begin September 16th and last 60 days. New Brunswick Trades Unions president Gary Ritchie says the project is significant. (About 90 per cent of the workers will be hired from within New Brunswick, while about 10 per cent will come from other parts of Atlantic Canada and beyond.)
