The numbers released by Statistics Canada back up what has long been suspected -- Canada was in a recession in the first half of the year. But this morning at a campaign stop in Burlington, Ontario, Conservative Leader Stephen Harper was putting a different take on those numbers. (That strong growth for June Harper referred to was a gain of 0.5 per cent.)
