Former Manitoba health minister Erin Selby is making the jump to federal politics. Selby has been acclaimed as the federal NDP candidate in the riding of St. Boniface-St. Vital. She is one of five former provincial cabinet ministers who challenged Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger's leadership last fall. She says she spoke with the premier before today's announcement. (The New Democrats have never won the federal riding, but Selby says she's not afraid of the challenge.)
