The aunt of two boys who drowned off the coast of Turkey says she doesn't blame the Canadian government for their deaths. Speaking from her home in Coquitlam, B-C, Tima Kurdi says when it became clear it would be difficult to bring her relatives fleeing violence in Syria to Canada, she sent them money to pay a smuggler. Kurdi says she is to blame (Kurdi says their deaths should serve as a wake-up call to the world on the need to do more to help refugees fleeing violence in Syria.)
