The B-C government has announced a one-million dollar fund to support Syrian refugees who arrive in B-C. Clark made the announcement this morning. She says the fund is in response to the death of three-year-old Alan Kurdi, who died along with his mother and five-year-old brother as the family tried to escape war-torn Syria and reach the west. Clark says it's important to remember that the youngster and his family died because they were unlucky enough to live in a dangerous place -- and she says British Columbians must never forget our good fortune. (Clark says the cash will be handed out in collaboration with community agencies that identify specific needs as refugees settle in B-C. (The Canadian Press)
