Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau wants to make big changes to the employment insurance system. He says a Liberal government would reduce E-I premiums to one-dollar and 65-cents per 100-dollars earned. That's less than the one-dollar and 49-cent rate the Conservatives promised in this year's budget. Trudeau argues the extra revenue between the two figures would be reinvested under their plan. (Trudeau unveiled the plan in New Brunswick, part of the country where E-I changes have angered many small communities that depend on the social safety program to help seasonal workers.)
