It's lights, camera, action as the Toronto International Film Festival kicks off today. The opening night film is "Demolition," directed by Jean-Marc Vallee (val-LAY') of Quebec and starring Jake Gyllenhaal as an investment banker. TIFF director Piers Handling says Canadian filmmakers have become significant on the international stage in the festival's 40-year history. (The festival ends September 20th.)
