Prime Minister Stephen Harper is defending his government's management of the economy and yesterday's announcement that there will be a nearly two-billion-dollar surplus. He says he's going later today to Alberta -- where there is a recession. (Harper announced today plans to provide a two-thousand-dollar single seniors tax credit. He says it would double the tax relief available to single seniors starting in January of 2017.)
