A lawyer representing a Cape Breton, Nova Scotia boy accused of criminal negligence causing the death of a classmate by pushing him under the wheels of a school bus says what happened was the result of "momentary inadvertence." Defence lawyer James Snow made the remark in his closing submission at the trial of a 15-year-old Sydney student in the death of 18-year-old Christopher Chafe. Outside court, Crown prosecutor Mark Gouthro said the community is still grieving the loss of the young man. (Snow told the judge-only trial there was horseplay among students outside Sydney Academy on February 11th of 2015, but he says there was no evidence of fighting or aggression before the victim was pushed.)
