A Canadian university professor who developed technology to read lips has seen his business surge in the beauty industry over the past year. University of Toronto professor Parham Aarabi's (PAHR'-um AH'-rub-ee) says his company, Modiface, has seen his business double over the past year as beauty companies flock to his software to help sales. (Aarabi says the technology should soon be in beauty stores where customers can look in a mirror and see how a given lipstick works without putting it on their face.)
