The Alberta Child and Youth Advocate's office is pleased a legislature committee has voted to restore money the Progressive Conservatives cut from its budget last year. Tim Chander, a spokesman for the child advocate, says the money will help pay staff who investigate the deaths of children in government care. (After cutting the funding, the former Conservative government voted down a request to restore the money last February.)
