A Bella Coola, B-C woman is suing the province after she says RCMP officers threatened to take away her children if she didn't let them search her van for drugs. Kimberly Mack says she wants an apology from the officers after they ripped apart her vehicle five years ago and failed to find any illegal substances. Mack says the ordeal happened in a public parking lot and left her very embarrassed. (Both the RCMP and the province's Ministry of Justice have declined to comment, saying to do so would be inappropriate while the case is before the court. The first phase of the case goes to court today in Bella Coola.)
