The New Democrats say Premier Kathleen Wynne should say whether or not she told Sudbury Liberal Gerry Lougheed to offer a former candidate a job to step aside for a byelection in February. Wynne says she can't comment because Lougheed now faces criminal charges before the courts. But NDP house leader Gilles Bisson says Wynne needs to come clean. (The New Democrats say it shouldn't take the courts for the premier to explain whether she or anyone in her office gave Lougheed his marching orders.)
