Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau invoked his father's memory in an election leaders' debate that was far more emotional and animated than the dry foreign affairs subject matter of the debate might have suggested. There were a few heated exchanges, one particularly between Trudeau and Conservative Leader Stephen Harper over the revoking of citizenships of dual Canadians convicted of serious crimes. But things got emotional for Trudeau, when his late father Pierre's name was tossed around. (On the issue of the refugee crisis gripping Europe, Harper told the debate that countries opening their borders to refugees from Syria and Iraq without proper security checks will regret it.)
