Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall says he expects a vigorous debate when politicians return to the legislature for the last time before a provincial election slated for April 4. There will be a 25-day sitting of the legislative assembly starting October 13th. Wall says the government wants to put through some legislation before the election, including amendments to the essential services law. (In January, the Supreme Court struck down as unconstitutional the controversial law that prevented some public-sector employees from striking. The court gave the Saskatchewan government one year to change the legislation.)
