A group of oilsands companies is asking the world to "reimagine carbon" as it helps launch a 20- million dollar competition to find innovative solutions to carbon dioxide emissions. The Canadian Oil Sands Innovation Alliance has partnered with US utility NRG Energy to create the latest XPrize competition. The chief executive of the oilsands group says the competition will focus on creating new uses for carbon emissions. (The competition will run for four and a half years and will focus on emissions from coal and natural gas power plants.)
