Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil says the fate of a metal fabrication plant is not clear even though the province has a 49 per cent stake in the facility. McNeil says he doesn't know if Korean-owned Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Limited is seeking a new owner for the Trenton plant or if it's going to shut it down. Business Minister Mark Furey says there are measures in place to protect the province's interests. (A media report suggests the owners are getting rid of inventory in preparation for a shutdown. Furey says the government hasn't heard anything about that.)
